News Flash: We Are God’s Masterpiece
I have an announcement to make today to everyone far and wide: People are created in God’s image. They are, in fact, God’s masterpiece! It is written in our DNA, the information strand that has enough unique information about us to fill a library. Ephesians 2:10 says it well:
“For we are God’s masterpiece, created in the Messiah Jesus to perform good actions that God prepared long ago to be our way of life.” (ISV)
God has a script for all who breathe their first breath (Psalm 139). They become His poem (‘poema’ in the Greek), a carrier of His message, reflected in the unique gift He has given them. The Passion translation of Ephesians 2:10 articulates this point well:
“We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it! “
What’s more, God has a script for every beating heart, whether it is born or still resides in the mother’s womb. This is why the it is crucial that we pray for every Right to Life organization that is speaking up for those who have no voice and standing in the gap for the only innocent among us.
